The Hemingway Look-Alike Society
We Put the 'Fun' in Scholarship Fundraising!
The Hemingway Look-Alike Society is much more than just a group of “portly gray-bearded old men.” Several years ago, the society sought to honor the legacy of Ernest Hemingway while pursuing a higher purpose for their annual gathering in July. This inspired the creation of the Hemingway Look-Alike Scholarship program, which provides financial assistance to students attending the College of the Florida Keys. Through this initiative, the society supports the educational aspirations of young individuals, ensuring that their celebration of Hemingway’s spirit also leaves a lasting, positive impact on the community.
